I’m blogging this wedding on the beautiful couple’s one-year anniversary! Mark + Leslie’s wedding was at Silverstone Golf Club on a warm Spring day in 2014. Their bright yellow and gray theme made for a trendy ceremony and fun and lively reception. (I’m a sucker for neutrals with pops of bright color, whether it’s a wedding theme, the background for a photo, or outfits during a family portrait session.) The couple chose not to see each other until she walked down the aisle, which led for an emotional ceremony with lots of laughs. Their bridal party was having a blast during the portraits, and I love that the bride and her sister/maid of honor had to get a shot of their classic pose. One of the highlights of the reception was a traditional dance where Leslie wore a kerchief and danced with all the guys in the room, who quickly spun her around and passed her off to the next available dancer. While she was still catching her breath from the dizzy dance, Mark fought his way through the crowd of gentlemen to get back to his new wife. (Claim your woman Mark, haha!) I love it when cool, cultural traditions are mixed in with a modern wedding – it gives your wedding a truly unique feel.
Next step for these two? I’m happy to say I’ll be photographing their maternity session in a couple months! I love being a part of my clients’ lives after their wedding day, and making more memories for them as they continue on their journey together. Congrats Mark + Leslie, and I’ll see you and that baby bump soon!
